Biblical
Concept: Walk in Light, Walk in Spirit, Walk in Word
Introduction: Humans who have
believed in Christ for eternal life, must utilize the following three passages.
1
John 1:5 - 2:2 5 And athis
is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that bGod is light, and in Him there is no darkness
at all. 6 aIf
we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet
walk in the darkness, we blie and cdo not practice the truth; 7 but if we awalk in the light as bHe
Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and cthe blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all
sin. 8 aIf
we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the btruth is not in us. 9 aIf
we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to
forgive us our sins and bto cleanse us
from all unrighteousness. 10 aIf we say that we have not sinned, we bmake Him a liar, and cHis
word is not in us. 1 John 2:1 aMy
little children, I am bwriting these
things to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, cwe
have an 1dAdvocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2
and He Himself is athe 1propitiation
for our sins; and not for ours only, but also bfor
those of the whole world.
Application:
“Walk in the light” by confessing / agreeing that what you thought, said, or
did was a personal sin. Take personal responsibility for your sin life.
Ephesians
3:16-21 16 that He would grant you,
according to athe riches of His glory, to
be bstrengthened with power through His
Spirit in cthe inner man; 17 so that aChrist
may dwell in your hearts through faith; and
that you, being brooted and cgrounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with aall the 1saints what is bthe breadth and length and height and
depth, 19 and to know athe love of Christ which bsurpasses
knowledge, that you may be cfilled up to
all the dfulness of God. 20 aNow
to Him who is bable to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, caccording to the power that works within us, 21 ato Him be
the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations 1forever
and ever. Amen.
Application:

drunk with wine, 1for that is bdissipation,
but be cfilled with the Spirit,. Confess your sins for filling of the Holy
Spirit. See the Spiritual Empowerment Concept.
2

seeing that His adivine
power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through
the true bknowledge of Him who ccalled us 1by His own glory and 2excellence. 4 1For by these He has
granted to us His precious and magnificent apromises,
in order that by them you might become bpartakers
of the divine nature, having cescaped the dcorruption
that is in ethe world by lust.
