1.  The justice, righteousness, and truth of God (absolute standards),
     demand a sacrifice from the offending creature (flesh and blood) -
     Colossians 1:22.

2.  Blood = substitution and satisfaction of God's absolute standards -
     Hebrews 2:14; 9:12, 26; 10:29; Genesis 3:21; Leviticus 16:15-16.

3.  Death and blood teach angels and men about God's absolute
     standards.  Compare 1 Peter 1:12.

4.  The Blood of Christ demonstrates God's humility, cp. Philippians 2:8.
