Biblical Concept: The Mormon God
Contrasted With The God Of Bible

Dear Mormon friends,

While preaching a funeral sermon, Joseph Smith declared:

“It is necessary that we should understand the character and being of God, and how he came to be so; for I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity, I will refute that idea, and will take away and do away the veil, so that you may see” (King Follett Discourse).

Dear Mormon friends, the Christian Bible says this of God:

Psalm 90:2, “Before the mountains were born, or Thou didst give birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God” (the underline is mine).

Isaiah 46:9, “Remember the former things long past, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me” (the underlines are mine).

Isaiah 43:10, “You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me” (the underline is mine).

Dear Mormon friends, the God of the Bible declares:

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”  John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent.”  John 20:31, “but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is
the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.”

Dear Mormon friends, believe in this Biblical Jesus Christ for eternal life--the God, Son and Savior of the world.
