BIBLICAL CONCEPT: Faith

1.  Vocabulary: Pistis from peitho meaning: “to persuade,” “to convince.”

Application: Faith takes thinking, learning, effort and education to be
“convinced” about the object of one’s faith.

2.  Faith is the way to find and become "convinced" of the invisible,
multidimensional, triune God of the Bible - Heb. 11:16; Acts
     17:15-34; John 3:16-18 and Eph. 1:13.

Application: Having become “convinced” about who Jesus Christ is
(God become flesh) and what He did (died on the cross to bare the
sins of the world and satisfy God the Father’s righteous standards) is
     to have eternal life!

3.  Faith is the way the Christian (the believer in Jesus Christ) functions in
their remaining earthly life, their Christian Way of Life - 1 Thess.
3:9-10 and 2 Thess. 1:3-4 read together to see the Thessalonians
faith-growth in the Christian way of life.

Application: After you have eternal life in Christ, live the Christian way of
     life through faith.
