Divine Dwelling
1) Eternal salvation
and Divine Dwelling.

1 John 4:15, confession
of Jesus as Savior = salvation = the dwelling of God.

Romans 8:9, 11; 1 Corinthians
6:19; the Holy Spirit is the specific dweller.

John 14:16, the dwelling
of the Holy Spirit in us is eternal.
Summary: At the point of
eternal salvation, the believer is eternally
indwelt with the Holy Spirit.
2) Spiritual growth and
Divine Dwelling.

John 14:23, with spiritual
growth comes the special blessing of the abiding Father and Son.
Cf. Ephesians 3:17.

Ephesians 3:16, spiritual
growth results in strengthening and power from the dwelling Holy Spirit.

Romans 5:5, spiritual growth
results in more hope through the dwelling Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 1:14, the indwelling
Holy Spirit helps us guard the spiritual growth process. Cp. with
James 4:5.

are being built into a dwelling of God.

spiritual growth unleashes many blessings
related to the dwelling of
God: Special dwelling of the Father and
Son, power, hope,
guarding and building.
3) Divine dwelling regarding
the God-man Jesus Christ.

filled and led Jesus during the incarnation.
Summary: During the incarnation,
Jesus Christ was indwelt and
empowered by the Father and
Spirit to fulfill His earthly ministry.
