Biblical Concept: Children’s speech

1)  “My son, give attention to my wisdom, incline your ear to my
understanding; that you may observe discretion, and your lips may
reserve knowledge” (Proverbs 5:2).

2)  “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my
sayings . . .  Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put
devious lips far from you” (Proverbs 4:20 and 24).

3)  “My son, if your heart is wise, my own heart also will be glad; and my
inmost being will rejoice, when your lips speak what is right”  (Proverbs
23:15-16).

4)  “There is a kind of man who curses his father, and does not bless his
mother” (Proverbs 30:11).

5)  “He who curses his father or his mother, his lamp will go out in time
of darkness” (Proverbs 20:20).

6)  “The eye that mocks a father. and scorns a mother, the ravens of the
valley will pick it out, and the young eagles will eat it” (Proverbs 30:17).

7)  “And he who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to
death” (Proverbs 21:17).
