Biblical Concept: The Biblical Razor
Thoughts related to the razor (simplicity):
Ockham's Razor - "Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily."
Or, "Plurality should not be assumed without necessity."
Hanlon's Razor - "Never attribute to malice that which can be
adequately explained by stupidity."
Einstein's Razor - "Everything should be made as simple as possible,
but not simpler."
Newton's Razor - "We are to admit no more causes of natural things
than such are both true and sufficient to explain their appearances."
The Scientist's Razor - "When you have two competing theories
which make exactly the same predictions, the one that is simpler is the
better."
Aristotle's Razor - "Nature operates in the shortest way possible."
The Biblical Razor -
-
"The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the
LORD is sure, making wise the simple" (Psalm 19:7).
-
"The unfolding of Thy words gives light; it gives understanding to the
simple" (Psalm 119:130).
-
"For our proud confidence is this, the testimony of our conscience, that
in simplicity and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace
of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward
you" (2 Corinthians 1:12).
-
"But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your
minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to
Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3).
My Razor - "Biblical Concepts simplify life."
