Biblical Concept: Women, Satan’s attacks on

^NAS Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden '?" ² And the woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; ³ but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, lest you die.'" ⁴ And the serpent said to the woman, "You surely shall not die! ⁵ "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." ⁶ When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. ⁷ Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.

Comments: Genesis 3:1-7, describes Satan’s successful attack on Adam’s helper suitable woman. For helper suitable see Genesis 2:20-25 (note also 1 Corinthians 11:7) and the Biblical Concept: A Helper Suitable Wife. Satan attacks the concept of woman being a helper suitable to man. Satan approached the woman because she was created second, created to be a helper suitable, and created physically weaker. Satan approached the woman because she would find attractive the concept of becoming more than her second-class helper and weak created status (See Genesis 3:5-6 above.). Satan successfully appealed to the woman as a victim of these created circumstances. Satan thinks of himself as a victim so it was a line of reasoning with significant appeal.

Women / wives: Be wary of victimization appeals. Based on how advertising appeals to females, you live in a sexist, sarcastic, humorless, victimized, sappy, female culture.

^NAS Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.

Comments: Genesis 3:15 describes God’s counterattack on Satan through the helper suitable woman. The conflict between woman and Satan is global and continual through the final battle of Revelation 20:10. Satan will always be attacking and using women in the Angelic Conflict. For a late example, note the Israel-woman-Satan trilogy in Revelation 12:1-6 and 12:13-17.

Part of the next verse (3:16) says: “Yet your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you." Wives, dealing with the “rule” of your husband is a lesser problem than “enmity” from Satan. Satan exploits the Divinely enforced roles of female and male in God’s creation. It is easy for Satan to promote various and diverse sexism (male or female) through this Divine judgment / enforcement of the roles of female and male. Sexists are suckered by Satan.

The current situation of “enmity” between women and Satan, a judgment of Divinely enforced roles of female and male, a world “subject to angels” (Hebrews 2:5), a cursed creation (Genesis 3:17 and Romans 8:20) = continual conflict on earth until the enforced peace of a returning Messiah (Revelation 19:15). Thus Paul summarized: ^NAS Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us (my underline).

Women, instead of being duped peace-makers (suckered by Satan) bruise Satan through your “seed” (Christian kids). Thus Paul summarized: ^NAS 1 Timothy 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression. 15 But women shall be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint.

^NAS Genesis 6:1 Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. 5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

Comments: Satan’s global genocidal attack on the human race utilized women. Jude 6 and 2 Peter 2:4 note a Divine protection from future angelic attacks like Genesis 6. Satan continues to use the beauty of women to attack humanity. Genesis 6 tells us that it is Satan’s will to destroy every marriage he can. Except for Noah’s family, all marriages and families were infiltrated by fallen angels.

Here is the goal of Satan’s attacks on women (verse 5 above): 5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Christian women are given a guardian angel because demons have been assigned to attack them.

^NAS 1 Corinthians 11:10 Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. (See 11:8-10)

Comments: Women counter-attack Satan through authority orientation. Do you?

^NAS 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

Comments: Compare deceived, minds, simplicity, and purity with the over-think in 2 Timothy 3:7 below. Women, look for areas of mind deception in your lives.

^NAS 1 Timothy 5:13 And at the same time they also learn to be idle, as they go around from house to house; and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things not proper to mention. 14 Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, bear children, keep house, and give the enemy no occasion for reproach; 15 for some have already turned aside to follow Satan.

Comments: Note the relationship between sloth, sins of the tongue, and following Satan. See Biblical Concept: Woman’s Speech.

^NAS 2 Timothy 3:6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Comments: Satan’s false teachers promote women’s sin patterns (1 Timothy 5:13 above) to captivate them. Satan’s false teachers promote over-think in women.

^NAS 2 Timothy 2:26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

Comments: Human spiritual opponents of God are snared and captivated by the devil. Compare: “the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2b ^NAS).

^NAS Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

Comments: This is the fulfillment of the female destiny of Genesis 3:15. Women, fulfill your Divine female destiny.

^NAS 1 Timothy 2:14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression.

Comments: Satan cultivates deception among women. ‘And the woman replied, “The serpent tricked me, and I ate”’ (Genesis 3:13b ^{Net Bible}). Women, look for areas of deception in your life.

SUMMARY: Women / wives: Be wary of victimization appeals. Bruise Satan through your “seed” (Christian kids). Do not use your beauty to attack humanity. Women / wives counter-attack Satan through authority orientation. Be conscious that you are a target for deception. Look for areas of mind deception in your life. Be conscious of being deceived away from simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. Beware of your speech. Beware of over-think. Fulfill your Divine female destiny. Satan is trying to captivate you.
