God is wearied by: iniquities, man’s religions, words

Weary warnings: foolishness, religion wearies, weary of God, originality, wealth, negative volition, sloth

Weary solutions: Jesus Christ / Messiah, positive volition, wait

 

Wearied

♠NAS Isaiah 43:23 "You have not brought to Me the sheep of your burnt offerings; Nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, Nor wearied you with incense.

 

♠NAS Isaiah 43:24 "You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, Neither have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices; Rather you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your iniquities. (Iniquity wearies God’s volition.)

 

♠NAS Isaiah 47:13 "You are wearied with your many counsels; Let now the astrologers, Those who prophesy by the stars, Those who predict by the new moons, Stand up and save you from what will come upon you.  (Religion wearies.)

Wearies

♠NAS Isaiah 16:12 So it will come about when Moab presents himself, When he wearies himself upon his high place, And comes to his sanctuary to pray, That he will not prevail. (Religion wearies.)

 

Weariness

♠NAS Psalm 77:2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out without weariness; My soul refused to be comforted.  (Positive volition not weariness.)

 

Wearisome

 

♠NAS Ecclesiastes 1:8 All things are wearisome; Man is not able to tell it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor is the ear filled with hearing.  (Context: The vanity of originality leads to weariness.)

 

Weary

♠NAS Psalm 6:6 I am weary with my sighing; Every night I make my bed swim, I dissolve my couch with my tears. (Lament  Psalm)

 

♠NAS Psalm 69:3 I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched; My eyes fail while I wait for my God. (Lament Psalm)

 

♠NAS Proverbs 23:4 Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, Cease from your consideration of it. (Weary, wealth, wasted life.)

 

♠NAS Proverbs 25:17 Let your foot rarely be in your neighbor's house, Lest he become weary of you and hate you. (Weary your welcome.)

♠NAS Isaiah 50:4 The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. (Messiah’s word for the weary.)

 

♠NAS Jeremiah 6:11 But I am full of the wrath of the LORD: I am weary with holding it in. "Pour it out on the children in the street, And on the gathering of young men together; For both husband and wife shall be taken, The aged and the very old.  (God’s judgment of Jerusalem / Israel, wait / weary, wrath.)

♠NAS Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  (Jesus Christ, the weary solution.)

 

♠NAS Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.  (Positive volition, Spiritual success versus weary.)

 

♠NAS 2 Thessalonians 3:13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good. (Weary versus doing good: Part of Paul’s closing statement to the Thessalonians.) 

 

♠NAS Hebrews 12:3 For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.  (See 12:1-10, keep spiritually improving versus weary.)

Wearying
