Biblical Concept: Unbelief

Unbelief

Unbeliever

NAS 1 Corinthians 7:12 But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, let him not send her away. (See 7:16) (Marriage evangelism.)

NAS 1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an ungifted man enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all; (Prophesy, unbeliever, convicted.) (Context: 1 Corinthians 14:23-25 23 If therefore the whole church should assemble together and all speak in tongues, and ungifted men or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad?  24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an ungifted man enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all; 25 the secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you.”)

NAS 2 Corinthians 6:15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? (“what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?”)

NAS 1 Timothy 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. (“Worse than an unbeliever.”)

 

Unbelievers

NAS Luke 12:46 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

NAS 1 Corinthians 6:6 but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers? (Christians best stay out of court.)

NAS 1 Corinthians 10:27 If one of the unbelievers invites you, and you wish to go, eat anything that is set before you, without asking questions for conscience ' sake. (No Christian dietary laws.)

NAS 1 Corinthians 14:22 So then tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to unbelievers; but prophecy is for a sign, not to unbelievers, but to those who believe. (Tongues for unbeliever evangelism.)

Unbelieving

NAS Matthew 17:17 And Jesus answered and said, "O unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me." (“O unbelieving and perverted generation”)

NAS Luke 9:41 And Jesus answered and said, "O unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you, and put up with you? Bring your son here." (“O unbelieving and perverted generation”)

NAS John 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand, and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing." (Thomas unbelieving.)

NAS 1 Corinthians 7:13 And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, let her not send her husband away. (All) (See 7:16)

 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. (Family help for unbelievers.) (Marriage evangelism.)
