Biblical Concept: The Purposes of the Great Tribulation
(Revelation 4:1-19:21)

Revelation 2:20-23; judgement of immorality, idol worship, and rebellion.
Revelation 3:10, a spiritual testing of the earth.
Revelation 6:9-11, 15-17; an avenging of martyrs.
Revelation 9:10-11, 14-19; demonstrating the evil of fallen angels.
Revelation 9:20-21; a demonstration of the spiritual subjectivity of humanity.
Revelation 10:11, a judgement on the spiritual subjectivity of many peoples,  nations,
                               tongues, and kings.
Revelation 13:2-8, a demonstration of Satan’s rebellion against God and the  spiritual
                                subjectivity of humanity.
Revelation 14:8, a judgement on the world system which deceives the nations.
Revelation 14:9-11, God’s judgement on humans who worship Satan.
Revelation 14:14-20, a judgement on the spiritually subjective and evil ripe earth.
Revelation 15:1, an exhibition of God’s wrath on the evil earth.
Revelation 16:2b, 9a, 9b, 11, 21b; a judgement on humanity for false worship,
                                                            blasphemy, not repenting toward God, and not
                                                            repenting of their evil deeds.
Revelation 17:1-2, 6, 14a; a judgement on the kings of the earth who have  performed
                                              religious persecution.
Revelation 18:2-3, 23-24, 19:1-2; a judgement on Satan’s economic system of
                                                           persecution (Babylon) and the nations deceived
                                                           by it.
Revelation 19:15, 19-21; God’s judgement on nations and the evil system behind
                                            them, which war against Him.

 
Note:  After the millennium, Satan will be released, and there will be one final earthly judgement on fallen angels, nations, and unbelievers - Revelation 20:7-9.

Note:  Given the purposes and nature of the Divine judgements on fallen angels, nations, and unbelievers; Christ’s Church is exempt - Revelation 3:10.  The term Church is not found in Revelation 4:1-19:21.
