Introduction: The specifics of the
eternal state of things receives, comparatively, little Biblical address. The Best
Is Yet To Come is a continuing collection of various Bible verses for
Believer encouragement in this Devil’s world—“the whole world lies in the power
of the evil one.” The best IS yet to come.
Genesis
28:13-14 13 And
behold, the LORD stood above it and said, "I am the LORD, the God of your
father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it
to you and to your descendants. 14
"Your descendants shall also be like the dust of the earth, and you shall
spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and
in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
(Manifest Destiny will be fulfilled.)
1
Samuel 28:15 15
Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me
up?" And Saul answered, "I am greatly distressed; for the Philistines
are waging war against me, and God has departed from me and answers me no more,
either through prophets or by dreams; therefore I have called you, that you may
make known to me what I should do." (Samuel was “disturbed” to be brought
back to the 4du.)
Job
3:10-22 10
Because it did not shut the opening of my mother's
womb, Or hide trouble from my eyes. 11
"Why did I not die at birth, Come forth from the womb and expire? 12 "Why did the knees receive
me, And why the breasts, that I should suck?
13 "For now I would have lain down and been quiet; I
would have slept then, I would have been at rest, 14 With kings and with counselors of the earth, Who
rebuilt ruins for themselves; 15
Or with princes who had gold, Who were filling their houses with silver. 16 "Or like a miscarriage
which is discarded, I would not be, As infants that never saw light. 17 "There the wicked cease
from raging, And there the weary are at rest.
18 "The prisoners are at ease together; They do not hear
the voice of the taskmaster. 19
"The small and the great are there, And the slave is free from his
master. 20 "Why is light
given to him who suffers, And life to the bitter of soul; 21 Who long for death, but there
is none, And dig for it more than for hidden treasures; 22 Who rejoice greatly, They exult
when they find the grave?
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt
make known to me the path of life; In Thy presence is fullness of joy; In Thy
right hand there are pleasures forever.
Psalm 63:3 Because Thy lovingkindness
is better than life, My lips will praise Thee. (Better future lovingkindness.)
Psalm 86:8-10 8 There is no one like Thee among
the gods, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Thine. 9 All nations whom Thou hast made
shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord; And they shall glorify Thy
name. 10 For Thou art great
and doest wondrous deeds; Thou alone art God. (Creator = worship worthy.)
Ecclesiastes 7:1 A good name is better than
a good ointment, And the day of one's death is better than the day of
one's birth. (See: Biblical Concept: Resurrection Promises.)
Isaiah
2:1-4 1 The
word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it will come about that In
the last days, The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the
chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations
will stream to it. 3 And many
peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the
LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His
ways, And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from
Zion, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 And He will judge between the nations, And will render
decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against
nation, And never again will they learn war.
Isaiah
11:6-10 6 And
the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the kid,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will
lead them. 7 Also the cow and
the bear will graze; Their young will lie down together; And the lion will eat
straw like the ox. 8 And the
nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put
his hand on the viper's den. 9
They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be
full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea. 10 Then it will come about in that
day That the nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a
signal for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious.
Isaiah
29:22-24 22
Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of
Jacob, "Jacob shall not now be ashamed, nor shall his face now turn
pale; 23 But when he sees his
children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My name;
Indeed, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, And will stand in awe of the
God of Israel. 24 "And
those who err in mind will know the truth, And those who criticize will accept
instruction.
Isaiah
35:1-10 1 The
wilderness and the desert will be glad, And the Arabah will rejoice and
blossom; Like the crocus 2 It
will blossom profusely And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory
of Lebanon will be given to it, The majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They will see
the glory of the LORD, The majesty of our God.
3 Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. 4 Say to those with anxious heart,
"Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save
you." 5 Then the eyes of
the blind will be opened, And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. 6 Then the lame will leap like a
deer, And the tongue of the dumb will shout for joy. For waters will break
forth in the wilderness And streams in the Arabah. 7 And the scorched land will
become a pool, And the thirsty ground springs of water; In the haunt of
jackals, its resting place, Grass becomes
reeds and rushes. 8 And a
highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean will not travel on it, But it will
be for him who walks that way,
And fools will not wander on it. 9 No lion will be there, Nor will
any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed
will walk there, 10 And the ransomed of the LORD
will return, And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon
their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee
away.
Isaiah 60:19-20 19 "No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor
for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the LORD for an
everlasting light, And your God for your glory.
20 "Your sun will set no more, Neither will your moon
wane; For you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, And the days of your
mourning will be finished.
Isaiah
65:17-25 17
"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things
shall not be remembered or come to mind.
18 "But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create;
For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing,
And her people for gladness. 19 "I will also rejoice in
Jerusalem, and be glad in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her
The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.
20 "No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man
who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one
hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Shall be thought accursed. 21 "And they shall build
houses and inhabit them; They shall
also plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 "They shall not build, and another inhabit, They
shall not plant, and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And
My chosen ones shall wear out the work of their hands. 23 "They shall not labor in
vain, Or bear children for calamity;
For they are the offspring of those blessed by the LORD, And their descendants
with them. 24 "It will
also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are
still speaking, I will hear. 25
"The wolf and the lamb shall graze together, and the lion shall eat straw
like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall do no evil or
harm in all My holy mountain," says the LORD.
Isaiah 66:22 "For just as the new
heavens and the new earth Which I make will endure before Me," declares
the LORD, "So your offspring and your name will endure. (14 dimensions?)
Jeremiah
32:37-42 37
"Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands to which I have driven
them in My anger, in My wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them
back to this place and make them dwell in safety. 38 "And they shall be My
people, and I will be their God; 39
and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always, for
their own good, and for the good of their
children after them. 40
"And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn
away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts
so that they will not turn away from Me.
41 "And I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I
will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My
soul. 42 "For thus says
the LORD, 'Just as I brought all this great disaster on this people, so I am
going to bring on them all the good that I am promising them.
Ezekiel 36:11 'And I will multiply on you
man and beast; and they will increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to
be inhabited as you were formerly and will treat you better than at the first.
Thus you will know that I am the LORD. (The 4du and sinful volitional creatures does
not exhibit the best in God—how could it?
However, the sentient / tactile actions of Jesus Christ exhibit a best
by / in God possible only in a 4du.
Think lower than angles—Hebrews 2:9-10 9 But we do see Him who has been
made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory
and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting for Him, for
whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to
glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.)
Hosea
2:18-20 18
"In that day I will also make a covenant for them With the beasts of the
field, The birds of the sky, And the creeping things of the ground. And I will
abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land, And will make them lie down
in safety. 19 "And I
will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness
and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion, 20 And I will betroth you to Me in
faithfulness. Then you will know the LORD.
Joel
3:17-21 17 Then
you will know that I am the LORD your God, Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.
So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more. 18 And it will come about in that
day That the mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with
milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go
out from the house of the LORD, To water the valley of Shittim. 19 Egypt will become a waste, And
Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the
sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood. 20 But Judah will be inhabited
forever, And Jerusalem for all generations.
21 And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged,
For the LORD dwells in Zion.
Micah 4:1-7 1 And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the house of
the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised
above the hills, And the peoples will stream to it. 2 And many nations will come and
say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD And to the house
of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk
in His paths." For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the
LORD from Jerusalem. 3 And He
will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant
nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears
into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never
again will they train for war. 4
And each of them will sit under his vine And under his fig tree, With no one to
make them afraid, For the mouth of
the LORD of hosts has spoken. 5
Though all the peoples walk Each in the name of his god, As for us, we will
walk In the name of the LORD our God forever and ever. 6 "In that day," declares
the LORD, "I will assemble the lame, And gather the outcasts, Even those
whom I have afflicted. 7
"I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcasts a strong nation, And the
LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on and forever. (Role of elect
angels and resurrected humans reversed?)
Zechariah 8, Millennial blessings.
Matthew 25:31 "But when the Son of
Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His
glorious throne.
Luke 16:22 "Now it came about that the poor man died
and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also
died and was buried. (I see angels now.)
Luke 20:36 for neither can they die
anymore, for they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the
resurrection.
Romans 8:18-25 18 For I consider that the
sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory
that is to be revealed to us. 19
For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the
sons of God. 20 For the
creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who
subjected it, in hope 21 that
the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into
the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole
creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this, but also we
ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan
within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our
adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. 24 For in hope we have been saved,
but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he
sees? 25 But if we hope for
what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
1 Corinthians 2:9 but
just as it is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not
heard, And which have not entered the
heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 6:3 Do you not know that we
shall judge angels? How much more, matters of this life? (A glorious day for
Believing humanity; given the multi millennia of angelic attacks on humans.)
1
Corinthians 15:42-55 42
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; 43 it is sown in
dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in
power; 44 it is sown a
natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there
is also a spiritual body. 45 So also it is written,
"The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not
first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is
from heaven. 48 As is the
earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are
those who are heavenly. 49
And just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image
of the heavenly. 50 Now I say
this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor
does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but
we shall all be changed, 52
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet
will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be
changed. 53 For this
perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on
immortality. 54 But when this
perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on
immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "Death is
swallowed up in victory. 55
"O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"
1 Corinthians 13:12 12 For now we see in a
mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know
fully just as I also have been fully known.
2
Corinthians 3:16-18 16 but whenever a man turns to
the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face
beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the
same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. (The
Believing Human has begun the process of the best is yet to come.)
2
Corinthians 4:15-18 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the grace which
is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound
to the glory of God. 16
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our
inner man is being renewed day by day. 17
For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory
far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which
are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen
are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 12:4 was
caught up into Paradise, and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not
permitted to speak.
Ephesians 2:4-7 4 But God, being rich in mercy,
because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our
transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been
saved), 6 and raised us up
with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, 7
in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His
grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Heavenly right seat.)
Philippians 1:23 But I am hard-pressed from
both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that
is very much better;
Philippians 3:7-14 7 But whatever things
were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of
Christ. 8 More than that, I
count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them
but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ,
9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my
own derived from the Law, but that
which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him, and the
power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed
to His death; 11 in order
that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. 12 Not that I have already
obtained it, or have already become
perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I
was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do:
forgetting what lies behind and
reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for
the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:20-21 20 For our citizenship
is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus
Christ; 21 who will transform
the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the
exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself. (Rapture / resurrection is the best to come.)
Colossians
3:4 When Christ, who
is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
2
Timothy 2:10 For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those
who are chosen, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ
Jesus and with it eternal glory.
2
Timothy 4:18 The Lord will
deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly
kingdom; to Him be the glory forever
and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 10:34 For you showed sympathy to
the prisoners, and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that
you have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.
Hebrews 11:16 But as it is, they desire a
better country, that is a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to
be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.
Hebrews 11:26 26
considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt;
for he was looking to the reward. (Moses)
Hebrews 11:35 Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were
tortured, not accepting their release, in order that they might obtain a better
resurrection;
Hebrews 12:10 For they disciplined us for
a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good,
that we may share His holiness.
1 Peter
1:11-13 11
seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was
indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to
follow. 12 It was
revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these
things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the
gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-- things into which angels
long to look. 13 Therefore,
gird your minds for action, keep sober in
spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at
the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Living
and Loving His Appearing.)
1 Peter 4:13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on
rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with
exultation.
1 Peter
5:8-11 8 Be of
sober spirit, be on the alert. Your
adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to
devour. 9 But resist him,
firm in your faith, knowing that the
same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are
in the world. 10 And after
you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to
His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 11 To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
2 Peter
3:13 But according to His promise we are looking for new
heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
1 John 3:1 See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon
us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this
reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now
we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be.
We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall
see Him just as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him
purifies himself, just as He is pure.
(In eternity, Believers will be like Christ.)
Revelation 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying to me,
"These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and from
where have they come?" 14 And I said to him, "My lord, you
know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the
great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the
blood of the Lamb. 15 "For this reason, they are before the throne of God;
and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne
shall spread His tabernacle over them. 16 "They shall hunger no more,
neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat;
17 for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall
guide them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from
their eyes." (Heaven has
perfect happiness.)
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel
sounded; and there arose loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of
the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He
will reign forever and ever." (The
Spiritual universe and the 4du unite in Christ.)
Revelation 15:4 "Who will not fear, O
Lord, and glorify Thy name? For Thou alone art holy; For all the nations will
come and worship before Thee, For Thy righteous acts have been revealed."
Revelation
19:11-21 11 And
I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in
righteousness He judges and wages war. 12
And His eyes are a flame of fire, and
upon His head are many diadems; and
He has a name written upon Him which
no one knows except Himself. 13
And He is clothed with a robe dipped
in blood; and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in
heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean,
were following Him on white horses. 15
And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may smite the
nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press
of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written,
"KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried out
with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, "Come,
assemble for the great supper of God; 18
in order that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and
the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them
and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and
great." 19 And I saw the
beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war
against Him who sat upon the horse, and against His army. 20 And the beast was seized, and
with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he
deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped
his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with
brimstone. 21 And the rest
were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat upon the
horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
Revelation
20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first
resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be
priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Revelation
21:1-7 1 And I
saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed
away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned
for her husband. 3 And I
heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God
is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and
God Himself shall be among them, 4
and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be
any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the
first things have passed away." 5
And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things
new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and
true." 6 And He said to
me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without
cost. 7 "He who
overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My
son.
Revelation
22:3-5 3 And
there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall
be in it, and His bond-servants shall serve Him; 4 and they shall see His face, and
His name shall be on their
foreheads. 5 And there shall
no longer be any night; and they
shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because
the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever. (Mark
of beast versus mark of God.)
