Biblical Concept: Join Me In the Spiritual Universe
Colossians 3:1-5 1 If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep
seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of
God. 2 Set your mind on the
things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life
is hidden with Christ in God. 4
When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with
Him in glory. 5 Therefore
consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity,
passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.
Ephesians 2:4-7 4 But
God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved
us, 5 even when we were dead
in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have
been saved), 6 and raised us
up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, 7
in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His
grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
2 Peter 3:11-14 11
Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people
ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on
account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will
melt with intense heat! 13
But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in
which righteousness dwells. 14
Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by
Him in peace, spotless and blameless,
1 John 2:28 28 And
now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have
confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
2 Corinthians 5:16-20 16
Therefore from now on we recognize no man according to the flesh; even though
we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore if any man is in
Christ, he is a new creature; the old
things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through
Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ
reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them,
and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors
for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of
Christ, be reconciled to God.
Romans 8:18-25 18 For
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the
creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected
to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in
hope 21 that the creation
itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of
the glory of the children of God. 22
For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth
together until now. 23 And
not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit,
even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of
our body. 24 For in hope we
have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope
for what he sees? 25 But if
we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Philippians 3:20-21 20 For
our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the
Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who
will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of
His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things
to Himself.
1 Corinthians 15:19-26 19 If
we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be
pitied. 20 But now Christ has
been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. 21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also
in Christ all shall be made alive. 23
But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are
Christ's at His coming, 24
then comes the end, when He delivers
up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all
authority and power.
1
Peter 1:13 13 Therefore,
gird your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope
completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:20-23 20
according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall not be put to shame
in anything, but that with all
boldness, Christ shall even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by
life or by death. 21 For to
me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I am to
live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I
do not know which to choose. 23
But I am hard-pressed from both directions,
having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;
Philippians 3:7-14 7 But
whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the
sake of Christ. 8 More than
that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and
count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not
having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the
righteousness which comes from God on
the basis of faith, 10 that I
may know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His
sufferings, being conformed to His death;
11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the
dead. 12 Not that I have
already obtained it, or have already
become perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which
also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard
myself as having laid hold of it yet;
but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what
lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for
the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Revelation 20:4-6 4 And I
saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been
beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and
those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the
mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned
with Christ for a thousand years. 5
The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were
completed. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first
resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be
priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Galatians 2:20 20
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but
Christ lives in me; and the life which
I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and
delivered Himself up for me.
Hebrews 11:26 26
considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt;
for he was looking to the reward.
