Biblical Concept: Spirit of Wisdom

NAS Ephesians 1:17 that the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

NAS 2 Timothy 3:15 and that from
childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give
you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in
Christ Jesus.
NAS Ephesians 1:8 which He lavished upon

9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind
intention which He purposed in Him
NAS Ephesians 1:15 For this reason I too,
having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you, and
your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while
making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I
pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may
know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His
inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power
toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the
strength of His might
NAS Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant
you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power
through His Spirit in the inner man; 17 so that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and
length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses
knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God. 20
Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or
think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the
glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
Amen.
NAS 1 Corinthians 2:13 which things we
also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in
those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with
spiritual words.
NAS 1 Corinthians 12:8 For to one is
given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to
another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
NAS James 1:5 But if any of you lacks
wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without
reproach, and it will be given to him.
NAS James 3:17 But the wisdom from
above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and
good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.
NAS 2 Peter 3:15 and regard the patience
of our Lord to be salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul,
according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you,
NAS Colossians 2:1 For I want you to know
how great a struggle I have on your behalf, and for those who are at Laodicea,
and for all those who have not personally seen my face, 2 that their hearts may
be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all
the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting
in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself,
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
NAS Colossians 1:9 For this reason also,
since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to
ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual
wisdom and understanding,
NAS Colossians 1:28 And we proclaim Him, admonishing
every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may
present every man complete in Christ.
NAS Colossians 3:16 Let the word of
Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and
admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Conclusion: The Triune God of the Bible wants the
Believer in Him to learn (spirit of wisdom) about the God Who created and saved
them and to serve His purposes.
