destruction.)
Relationship: Spiritual
rebellion and internal national turmoil. (Seeds of destruction.)
The wicked pervert

of no return, God brings dissolution.

Deuteronomy 8:19-20 19
"And it shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God, and go
after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today
that you shall surely perish. 20
"Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you
shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your
God.
Deuteronomy 28:45-52 45
"So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you
until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the LORD your God by
keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. 46 "And they shall become a
sign and a wonder on you and your descendants forever. 47 "Because you did not serve
the LORD your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all
things; 48 therefore you
shall serve your enemies whom the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, in
thirst, in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and He will put an iron
yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.
49 "The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar,
from the end of the earth, as the eagle swoops down, a nation whose language
you shall not understand, 50
a nation of fierce countenance who shall have no respect for the old, nor show
favor to the young. 51
"Moreover, it shall eat the offspring of your herd and the produce of your
ground until you are destroyed, who also leaves you no grain, new wine, or oil,
nor the increase of your herd or the young of your flock until they have caused
you to perish. 52 "And
it shall besiege you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls in
which you trusted come down throughout your land, and it shall besiege you in
all your towns throughout your land which the LORD your God has given you.
Psalm
106:34-43 34 They did not destroy the
peoples, As the LORD commanded them, 35
But they mingled with the nations, And learned their practices, 36 And served their idols, Which
became a snare to them. 37
They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons, 38 And shed innocent blood, The
blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of
Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood. 39 Thus they became unclean in
their practices, And played the harlot in their deeds. 40 Therefore the anger of the LORD
was kindled against His people, And He abhorred His inheritance. 41 Then He gave them into the hand
of the nations; And those who hated them ruled over them. 42 Their enemies also oppressed
them, And they were subdued under their power.
43 Many times He would deliver them; They, however, were
rebellious in their counsel, And so sank
down in their iniquity. (National
rampant personal sins.) (Seeds of destruction.)
Ezekiel 5:5-8 5
"Thus says the Lord God, 'This is Jerusalem; I have set her at the center
of the nations, with lands around her. 6
'But she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations and
against My statutes more than the lands which surround her; for they have
rejected My ordinances and have not walked in My statutes.' 7 "Therefore, thus says the
Lord God, 'Because you have more turmoil than the nations which surround you,
and have not walked in My statutes, nor observed My ordinances, nor observed
the ordinances of the nations which surround you,' 8 therefore, thus says the Lord
God, 'Behold, I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments among you
in the sight of the nations. (Relationship: Spiritual rebellion and internal
national turmoil.) (Seeds of destruction.)
Psalm 9:1-20 1 For the choir director; on Muth-labben. A Psalm of David. I Will give thanks to
the LORD with all my heart; I will tell of all Thy wonders. 2 I will be glad and exult in
Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High. 3 When my enemies turn back, They
stumble and perish before Thee. 4
For Thou hast maintained my just cause; Thou dost sit on the throne judging
righteously. 5 Thou hast
rebuked the nations; Thou hast destroyed the wicked; Thou hast blotted out
their name forever and ever. 6
The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins, And Thou hast uprooted the
cities; The very memory of them has perished.
7 But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne
for judgment, 8 And He will
judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with
equity. 9 The LORD also will
be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble, 10 And those who know Thy name
will put their trust in Thee; For Thou, O LORD, hast not forsaken those who
seek Thee. 11 Sing praises to
the LORD, who dwells in Zion; Declare among the peoples His deeds. 12 For He who requires blood
remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted. 13 Be gracious to me, O LORD;
Behold my affliction from those who hate me, Thou who dost lift me up from the
gates of death; 14 That I may
tell of all Thy praises, That in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may
rejoice in Thy salvation. 15
The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made; In the net which
they hid, their own foot has been caught.
16 The LORD has made Himself known; He has executed judgment.
In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion
Selah. 17 The wicked will
return to Sheol, Even
all the nations who forget God.
18 For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope
of the afflicted perish forever. 19
Arise, O LORD, do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged before
Thee. 20 Put them in fear, O
LORD; Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah. (Relationship:
Forgetting God and seeds of destruction.)
Habakkuk 1:4 4
Therefore, the law is ignored And justice is never upheld. For the wicked
surround the righteous; Therefore, justice comes out perverted. (The wicked pervert justice.) (Seeds of destruction.)
Isaiah 29:21 21 Who
cause a person to be indicted by a word, And ensnare him who adjudicates at the
gate, And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments. (The wicked pervert justice.) (Seeds of destruction.)
Jeremiah 9:1-9 1 Oh,
that my head were waters, And my eyes a fountain of tears, That I might weep
day and night For the slain of the daughter of my people! 2 O that I had in the desert A
wayfarers' lodging place; That I might leave my people, And go from them! For
all of them are adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men. 3 "And they bend their
tongue like their bow; Lies
and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil,
And they do not know Me," declares the LORD. 4 "Let everyone be on
guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every
brother deals craftily, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer. 5 "And everyone deceives
his neighbor, And does not speak the truth, They have taught
their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity. 6 "Your dwelling is in the
midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me,"
declares the LORD. 7
Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, "Behold, I will refine them and
assay them; For what else can I do,
because of the daughter of My people? 8
"Their tongue is a deadly arrow; It speaks deceit; With his
mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor, But inwardly he sets an ambush
for him. 9 "Shall I
not punish them for these things?" declares the LORD. "On a nation
such as this Shall I not avenge Myself? (National rampant personal sins.) (Seeds
of destruction.)
Psalm 2:1-12 1 Why
are the nations in an uproar, And the peoples devising a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth take
their stand, And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against
His Anointed: 3 "Let
us tear their fetters apart, And cast away their cords from us!" 4 He who sits in the heavens
laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. 5
Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury: 6 "But as for Me, I have
installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain." 7 "I will surely tell of the
decree of the LORD: He said to Me, 'Thou art My Son, Today I have begotten
Thee. 8 'Ask of Me, and I
will surely give the nations as Thine inheritance,
And the very ends of the earth as Thy
possession. 9 'Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron, Thou shalt shatter them like earthenware.'" 10 Now therefore, O kings, show
discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. 11 Worship the LORD with reverence,
And rejoice with trembling. 12
Do homage to the Son, lest He become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be
kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him! (Nations
that rebel against the God of the Bible and God-consciousness face a Divine
timetable of dissolution.)
Daniel 2:21 "And it is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men, And knowledge to men of understanding. (Human history is a revolving door of regime change.)
Isaiah 14:12 12
"How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn!
You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!
(Fallen Angels attack / manipulate nations.)
Ezekiel
7:20-27 'And they transformed the beauty of His ornaments into pride, and they
made the images of their abominations and their detestable things with
it; therefore I will make it an abhorrent thing to them. 21 'And I shall give
it into the hands of the foreigners as plunder and to the wicked of the earth
as spoil, and they will profane it. 22 'I shall also turn My face from them,
and they will profane My secret place; then robbers will enter and profane it.
23 'Make the chain, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is
full of violence. 24 'Therefore, I shall bring the worst of the nations,
and they will possess their houses. I shall also make the pride of the strong
ones cease, and their holy places will be profaned. 25 'When anguish comes,
they will seek peace, but there will be none. 26 'Disaster will come upon
disaster, and rumor will be added to rumor; then they will seek a vision
from a prophet, but the law will be lost from the priest and counsel from the
elders. 27 'The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with horror, and
the hands of the people of the land will tremble. According to their conduct
I shall deal with them, and by their judgments I shall judge them. And they
will know that I am the LORD.' " (Israel’s spiritual digression reached
the point of abominations, crimes, and violence. God used Babylon to put Israel under
captivity.) (National rampant personal
sins.) (Seeds of destruction.)
Nahum
3:1-7 Woe to the bloody city, completely full of lies and
pillage; Her prey never departs. 2 The noise of the whip, The noise of the
rattling of the wheel, Galloping horses, And bounding chariots! 3 Horsemen
charging, Swords flashing, spears gleaming, Many slain, a mass of corpses, And
countless dead bodies-- They stumble over the dead bodies! 4 All because
of the many harlotries of the harlot, The charming one, the mistress of
sorceries, Who sells nations by her harlotries And families by her sorceries. 5
"Behold, I am against you," declares the LORD of hosts; "And I
will lift up your skirts over your face, And show to the nations your nakedness
And to the kingdoms your disgrace. 6 "I will throw filth on you And make
you vile, And set you up as a spectacle. 7 "And it will come about that
all who see you Will shrink from you and say, 'Nineveh is devastated! Who will
grieve for her?' Where will I seek comforters for you?" (National rampant personal sins.) (Seeds of destruction.)
Proverbs
11:10-11 10 “When it
goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, And when the wicked perish,
there is glad shouting. 11 By the blessing of the upright a city is
exalted, But by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down.” (Nation / city rampant personal sins.) (Seeds of
destruction.)
Proverbs 25:26 Like a trampled spring and a polluted
well Is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked. (Seeds of
destruction.)
Proverbs 28:12 When the righteous triumph, there is great
glory, But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves. (Seeds of destruction.)
Proverbs 28:28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves;
But when they perish, the righteous increase. (Seeds
of destruction.)
Amos 5:10-15 10 They hate him who reproves in
the gate, And they abhor him who speaks with
integrity. 11 Therefore,
because you impose heavy rent on the poor And exact a tribute of grain from
them, Though you have built houses of
well-hewn stone, Yet you will not live in them; You have planted pleasant
vineyards, yet you will not drink their wine.
12 For I know your transgressions are many and your sins are
great, You who distress the righteous
and accept bribes, And turn aside the
poor in the gate. 13
Therefore, at such a time the prudent person keeps silent, for it is an evil
time. 14 Seek good and not
evil, that you may live; And thus may the LORD God of hosts be with you, Just
as you have said! 15 Hate
evil, love good, And establish justice in the gate! Perhaps the LORD God of
hosts May be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. (Seeds of destruction.)
Psalm
50:16-21 16 But
to the wicked God says, "What right have you to tell of My statutes, And
to take My covenant in your mouth? 17
"For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you. 18 "When you see a thief, you
are pleased with him, And you associate with adulterers. 19 "You let your mouth loose
in evil, And your tongue frames deceit. 20
"You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother's
son. 21 "These things
you have done, and I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will
reprove you, and state the case in
order before your eyes. (Seeds of destruction.)
Jeremiah 18:6-10 6"Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD." Behold, like the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. 7 "At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; 8 if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it. 9 "Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it; 10 if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it. (When nations move deep into evil, God removes them.)
