Introduction

A New Testament study.

Mallon / ma/llon - more, to a greater degree, for a better reason, rather, instead.

Note: Kione Greek is rich in inflection forms, but poor in vocabulary.  The various forms of any particular word, plus the sentence context, lead to various nuance. Particularly true of the word mallon.

Findings

Humans: More than birds.

Humans: More than grass.

More, Father, good gifts.

NAS 1 Corinthians 12:22 On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; (Truer = mallon.) (Obvious truer needs stating.)

NAS 1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. (Especially = mallon.) (Especially prophecy.)

 5 Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying.
