NAS 1 Corinthians 1:31 that, just as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord."  (See Jeremiah 9:23-24.  In the Lord = standards to boast about.)

 

NAS 1 Corinthians 4:17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every church.  (In the Lord = a life philosophy.)

 

NAS 1 Corinthians 7:22 For he who was called in the Lord while a slave, is the Lord's freedman; likewise he who was called while free, is Christ's slave.  (In the Lord supersedes social condition.  In the Lord is the social condition.  Your social condition is silly compared to in the Lord.)

 

 39 A wife is bound as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.  (In the Lord = Christian marry Christian.)

 

NAS 1 Corinthians 9:1 Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?  (Apostle = worker par excellence in the Lord.)

 

 2 If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.  (Apostle = worker par excellence in the Lord.)

 

NAS 1 Corinthians 11:11 However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.  (In the Lord makes sexists ignorant.  Sexists who are Christians are ignorant.)

 

NAS 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.  (Work in the Lord = reward.)

NAS 2 Corinthians 10:17 But he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord. (See Jeremiah 9:23-24.  In the Lord = standards to boast about.)

 

NAS Galatians 5:10 I have confidence in you in the Lord, that you will adopt no other view; but the one who is disturbing you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.  (In the Lord = the basis for spiritual confidence in others.)

 

NAS Ephesians 2:21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord;  (God’s household [see 2:19] is based on the cornerstone Christ [see 2:20], the temple in the Lord and a dwelling of God in the Spirit [see 2:22].) (Church is about God not humans.)

 

NAS Ephesians 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, (Irony: A prisoner in the Lord talks of Christian walking.)

 

 17 This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, (Speaking in / for the Lord--improve.)

 

NAS Ephesians 5:8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light  (In the Lord changes everything for the human.)

 

NAS Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  (In the Lord is for children too.)

 

 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. (In the Lord = strength.)
