Biblical Concept: Helpless

Prologue: As a pastor-teacher for Christ’s Church, the Romans 5:6 reference below
interests me most.
NAS Exodus 23:5 "If
you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load,
you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely release it with
him.
NAS Nehemiah 5:5
"And now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like
their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be
slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and
we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others."
NAS Job 5:16 "So
the helpless has hope, And unrighteousness must shut its mouth.
NAS Psalm 41:1 For
the choir director. A Psalm of David. How blessed is he who considers the
helpless; The LORD will deliver him in a day of trouble.
NAS Isaiah 14:30
"And those who are most helpless will eat, And the needy will lie down in
security; I will destroy your root with famine, And it will kill off your
survivors.
NAS Isaiah 25:4 For Thou
hast been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress,
A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless
Is like a rain storm against a wall.
NAS Isaiah 26:6
"The foot will trample it, The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the helpless."
NAS Isaiah 51:20 Your
sons have fainted, They lie helpless at the head of every street, Like
an antelope in a net, Full of the wrath of the LORD, The rebuke of your God.
NAS Jeremiah 49:24
"Damascus has become helpless; She has turned away to flee, And panic has
gripped her; Distress and pangs have taken hold of her Like a woman in
childbirth.
NAS Amos 2:7 "These
who pant after the very dust of the earth on the head of the helpless
Also turn aside the way of the humble; And a man and his father resort to the
same girl In order to profane My holy name.
NAS Amos 8:6 So as to
buy the helpless for money And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we
may sell the refuse of the wheat?"
NAS Romans 5:6 For while
we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. (Humanity is helpless and ungodly. It took the
Christ to change this status.) (Still
has a present active plural verbal inflection and describes a
