Biblical Concept: The Will of God and Bad Events
It is
God’s will for the earth to be the location for resolving the Angelic Conflict
(Genesis 3:4-5 and 3:14-15). God’s
will judged angelic and human disobedience and the judgment extended to all
creation (Genesis 3:17-19 and Romans 8:18-22). The major angelic assault of Genesis 6:1-13 demonstrates that God’s permissive will is allowing sin
and evil to dominate earth (Compare Genesis 15:16, Matthew 4:8-9, 1 John 5:19, and Ephesians 2:2). It was God’s will for only eight humans to be
brought through the following flood (1 Peter 3:20).
NAS 1 Corinthians 4:9 For, I
think, God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as men condemned to death;
because we have become a spectacle to
the world, both to angels and to men. (Spiritual leaders are a spectacle to the
world, angels, and humans. “Spectacle” =
theatron / qe,atron = theatre, spectacle. Meaning: The world will always attempt to
turn Christianity into a comedy.)
NAS Romans 12:1 I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which
is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Meaning: World
versus the “good and acceptable and perfect“ will of God. The humanistic socialistic standards of the
world--“conformed”--do not include the spiritual standards of God. Be encouraged by 1 Corinthians
7:31.)
NAS
Proverbs 16:4 The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked
for the day of evil. (Meaning: God
created free will creatures and some of them became wicked = bad events for
earth.)
NAS Hebrews 2:5 For He did not
subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. (Meaning:
This current world is subject to angels, who are not currently subject to God
according to 2:8 = bad events for earth.)
NAS
Hebrews 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for
all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, 13 waiting from that time onward
UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. (Meaning: Current earth
history includes the process of defeating God’s enemies—earth is a war zone. See Biblical Concept: War and item:
“War until the Second Advent.”)
NAS 2
Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he
who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. (Meaning: Earth is a lawless place under
restraint.)
NAS 1
John 2:15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves
the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the
world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of
life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 And the world is
passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God
abides forever. (Meaning: Earth = a life of lust apart from God = bad events.)
NAS Genesis
15:16 Then in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of
the Amorite is not yet complete. (Meaning: God is allowing sin and evil to run
its course in earth history. Believers
are not immune from this effect. See
Biblical Concept: Disaster
Theorem.)

not die! 5 "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will
be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
NAS Genesis 3:14
And the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, Cursed
are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your
belly shall you go, And dust shall you eat All the days of your life; 15 And I
will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel."
NAS Genesis 3:17
Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your
wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You
shall not eat from it '; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you shall
eat of it All the days of your life. 18 "Both thorns and thistles it shall
grow for you; And you shall eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of
your face You shall eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it
you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return."
NAS Romans 8:18
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious
longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20
For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of
Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free
from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of
God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth
together until now.
NAS Genesis 6:1
Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and
daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw that the daughters of
men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. 3
Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because
he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty
years." 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also
afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children
to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. 5
Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that
every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the
LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His
heart. 7 And the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from
the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of
the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them." 8 But Noah found favor in
the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the records of the generations of
Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God. 10
And Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 Now the
earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had
corrupted their way upon the earth. 13 Then God said to Noah, "The end of
all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of
them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.
NAS Genesis
15:16 "Then in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the
iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete."
NAS Matthew 4:8
Again, the devil *took Him to a very high mountain, and *showed Him all the
kingdoms of the world, and their glory; 9 and he said to Him, "All these
things will I give You, if You fall down and worship me."
NAS 1 John 5:19
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the
evil one.
NAS Ephesians
2:2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now
working in the sons of disobedience.
NAS 1 Peter 3:20
who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of
Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight
persons, were brought safely through the water.
NAS 1 Corinthians 7:31 and those who use the world, as though they did not
make full use of it; for the form of this world is passing away.
NAS Hebrews 2:8 THOU HAST PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.
"For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject
to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.
