Biblical Concept: God of the Bible, Spiritual Radical

Summary: Realize, through the following Bible verses, that your job is to orient to God’s radical spiritual agenda.  God’s radical spiritual agenda will happen with or without you.  God is so not like other volitional creatures.  Anthropopathism of the God of the Bible will ultimately fail.  Note: Humanity is made in God’s Image, God is not made in man’s image.  God is about the business of self-vindication in His conflict with Cherubs.  As Creator, the eventual physical death of the vast majority of humans, and filling the lake of fire with 1/3 of the angels, and the vast majority of humans, is part of the plan for dealing with evil- volitional-creatures.  The brutality of the following Bible verses is no problem to the God of the Bible.  And yet, truly, God is also love.  God is a Spiritual Radical—fear Him.

Compare: Jesus Christ, Spiritual Radical

“For God so loved the world,” but, to the Lake of Fire for those who refuse His Love in Jesus Christ. John 3:16-20  16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.  18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  19 "And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.  20 "For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. (Love or Lake of Fire. Perish or eternal life.) (Multitudes of unbelievers lower God in refusal to believe according to God’s standards.) (93 Bible verses describing only one way of salvation.)

Matthew 10:28  28 "And do not fear those who kill the body, but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  (1/3 of angels,  7/8?, 9/10? of humanity = half of all volitional creatures to the Lake of Fire?)

The sixth trumpet judgment of the Great Tribulation will kill one third of humanity. (Revelation 9:18-21) (But remember God is love and desires the death of no man.)

2 Kings 19:35   35 Then it happened that night that the angel of the LORD went out, and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead.  (God practices Divine Democide.)

Proverbs 16:4 The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.  (Meaning: God created free will creatures and some of them became wicked.)

Nahum 1:2 A jealous and avenging God is the LORD; The LORD is avenging and wrathful. The LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.  (See vv. 1-3.  God judged the Gentile nation Nineveh for forgetting Him.  Recall that they had previously converted to the God of the Bible after Jonah’s preaching.)

Exodus 22:20-24  20 "He who sacrifices to any god, other than to the LORD alone, shall be utterly destroyed.  21 "And you shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.  22 "You shall not afflict any widow or orphan.  23 "If you afflict him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will surely hear his cry;  24 and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

Exodus 32:25-35   25 Now when Moses saw that the people were out of control-- for Aaron had let them get out of control to be a derision among their enemies--  26 then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, "Whoever is for the LORD, come to me!" And all the sons of Levi gathered together to him.  27 And he said to them, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Every man of you put his sword upon his thigh, and go back and forth from gate to gate in the camp, and kill every man his brother, and every man his friend, and every man his neighbor.'"  28 So the sons of Levi did as Moses instructed, and about three thousand men of the people fell that day.  29 Then Moses said, "Dedicate yourselves today to the LORD-- for every man has been against his son and against his brother-- in order that He may bestow a blessing upon you today."  30 And it came about on the next day that Moses said to the people, "You yourselves have committed a great sin; and now I am going up to the LORD, perhaps I can make atonement for your sin."  31 Then Moses returned to the LORD, and said, "Alas, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a god of gold for themselves.  32 "But now, if Thou wilt, forgive their sin-- and if not, please blot me out from Thy book which Thou hast written!"  33 And the LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.  34 "But go now, lead the people where I told you. Behold, My angel shall go before you; nevertheless in the day when I punish, I will punish them for their sin."  35 Then the LORD smote the people, because of what they did with the calf which Aaron had made.

Exodus 34:14 -- for you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God--  (See the context of vv. 11-17.  Principle: Do not be influenced by any other religion than Biblical Christianity.  The God does not like it--understated.  Compare: NAS Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.  NAS Psalm 9:17 The wicked will return to Sheol, Even all the nations who forget God.  Note to America:  In our Constitution, Article VI section three says. . .”but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”  The national blessings of Psalm 33:12 are dependent on having the right God in view.  The God of the Bible is not impressed by Article VI section three of the US Constitution—He is a jealous God.  The constitution does not prevent a citizen from voting against a candidate with abhorrent religious views.)

Deuteronomy 20:16-18  16 "Only in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes.  17 "But you shall utterly destroy them, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, as the LORD your God has commanded you,  18 in order that they may not teach you to do according to all their detestable things which they have done for their gods, so that you would sin against the LORD your God.  (See: Manifest Destiny.)

Joshua 10:11  11 And it came about as they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth-horon, that the LORD threw large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died; there were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the sons of Israel killed with the sword.

Ezekiel 9:3-11  3 Then the glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub on which it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case.  4 And the LORD said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst."  5 But to the others He said in my hearing, "Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity, and do not spare.  6 "Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary." So they started with the elders who were before the temple.  7 And He said to them, "Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!" Thus they went out and struck down the people in the city.  8 Then it came about as they were striking and I alone was left, that I fell on my face and cried out saying, "Alas, Lord God! Art Thou destroying the whole remnant of Israel by pouring out Thy wrath on Jerusalem?"  9 Then He said to me, "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is very, very great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is full of perversion; for they say, 'The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not see!'  10 "But as for Me, My eye will have no pity nor shall I spare, but I shall bring their conduct upon their heads."  11 Then behold, the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case reported, saying, "I have done just as Thou hast commanded me."

Compare: Ezekiel 23:49   49 'And your lewdness will be requited upon you, and you will bear the penalty of worshiping your idols; thus you will know that I am the Lord God.'"  (The phrase: “know that I am the LORD” is found over 60 times in Ezekiel.)

Ezekiel 25-32 records Divine regime change for Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, Tyre, Sidon, and Egypt. Notice the repetition of the phrase “then they will know that I am the Lord.”  Human history is a revolving door of regime change.

Revelation 19 records the planetary Divine regime change brought about at the Second Advent of Jesus Christ.  Note the rulers of the new regime in Revelation 20:4.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him. (command)

Grace is: God's beneficial opportunity for mankind to approach Him for eternal salvation and spiritual growth based on the Person and work of Jesus Christ - Romans 5:1-2 and Acts 20:32.

Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.  (God hates the spiritually lukewarm.  See the context of vv. 25-35.  Compare also the Laodicea Church in Revelation 3:14-22.)

Isaiah 63:1-19  1 Who is this who comes from Edom, With garments of glowing colors from Bozrah, This One who is majestic in His apparel, Marching in the greatness of His strength? "It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save."  2 Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like the one who treads in the wine press?  3 "I have trodden the wine trough alone, And from the peoples there was no man with Me. I also trod them in My anger, And trampled them in My wrath; And their lifeblood is sprinkled on My garments, And I stained all My raiment.  4 "For the day of vengeance was in My heart, And My year of redemption has come.  5 "And I looked, and there was no one to help, And I was astonished and there was no one to uphold; So My own arm brought salvation to Me; And My wrath upheld Me.  6 "And I trod down the peoples in My anger, And made them drunk in My wrath, And I poured out their lifeblood on the earth."  7 I shall make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has granted us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has granted them according to His compassion, And according to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.  8 For He said, "Surely, they are My people, Sons who will not deal falsely." So He became their Savior.  9 In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them; And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.  10 But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit; Therefore, He turned Himself to become their enemy, He fought against them.  11 Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,  12 Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,  13 Who led them through the depths? Like the horse in the wilderness, they did not stumble;  14 As the cattle which go down into the valley, The Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So didst Thou lead Thy people, To make for Thyself a glorious name.  15 Look down from heaven, and see from Thy holy and glorious habitation; Where are Thy zeal and Thy mighty deeds? The stirrings of Thy heart and Thy compassion are restrained toward me.  16 For Thou art our Father, though Abraham does not know us, And Israel does not recognize us. Thou, O LORD, art our Father, Our Redeemer from of old is Thy name.  17 Why, O LORD, dost Thou cause us to stray from Thy ways, And harden our heart from fearing Thee? Return for the sake of Thy servants, the tribes of Thy heritage.  18 Thy holy people possessed Thy sanctuary for a little while, Our adversaries have trodden it down.  19 We have become like those over whom Thou hast never ruled, Like those who were not called by Thy name.

Deuteronomy 32:39 'See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded, and it is I who heal; And there is no one who can deliver from My hand. (God is Sovereign)

1 Peter 1:10-12  10 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful search and inquiry,  11 seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.  12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-- things into which angels long to look.

Revelation 1:12-18  12 And I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands;  13 and in the middle of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His breast with a golden girdle.  14 And His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire;  15 and His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been caused to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.  16 And in His right hand He held seven stars; and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.  17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,  18 and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

Revelation 6:8   8 And I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Isaiah 66:14-16  14 Then you shall see this, and your heart shall be glad, And your bones shall flourish like the new grass; And the hand of the LORD shall be made known to His servants, But He shall be indignant toward His enemies.  15 For behold, the LORD will come in fire And His chariots like the whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.  16 For the LORD will execute judgment by fire And by His sword on all flesh, And those slain by the LORD will be many.

Isaiah 34:5-6  5 For My sword is satiated in heaven, Behold it shall descend for judgment upon Edom, And upon the people whom I have devoted to destruction.  6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, It is sated with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

Isaiah 65:12  12 I will destine you for the sword, And all of you shall bow down to the slaughter. Because I called, but you did not answer; I spoke, but you did not hear. And you did evil in My sight, And chose that in which I did not delight."
