Biblical Concept: Glory
Glory
based observations:
Why
did God do anything related to the creation of volitional creatures? His desire for more glory is the answer. See Revelation 4:11. See Isaiah 43:7. The final
state of God’s plan of glory is to interact eternally with multitudes of
objective faithful sinless volitions. [1]
In
the four dimensional universe, God has taken a position of weakness. [2]
Why?
To resolve the conflict between
volitional creatures and Himself. God
created a limited four dimensional universe, in contrast to the limitless 14
dimensional spiritual universe. Why? To prove to volitional creatures (angelic and
human) that He is indeed naturally glorious and worthy of the glory due
Him.
From
the Divine perspective, questions about His glory are ludicrous. But, He chose to create and share existence
with other volitional creatures who would inevitably challenge His glory. The glory vocabulary challenges volitional
creatures to orient to His glory. Note: God
Himself became part of the four dimensional universe, lower than angels, even a
Son of Man, to demonstrate His glory
worthiness.
Glory,
as a concept, appears in numerous passages as part of a short summary statement
of / for Millennial encouragement. The
appearance of these glorious
Millennial comments is often sudden and short. The Millennium is the end of God’s
self-imposed position of weakness in the four dimensional universe.
The Biblical Concept: Glory explains
everything in the Spiritual Universe, the Four Dimensional Universe, and the Future
Universe. In scientific terms, Glory is the unifying theory of
everything. In philosophical terms, Glory is the wisdom of everything. In theological terms, Glory summarizes everything.
Israel
as a nation had / has the special mission of revealing God’s glory. Compare Biblical Concept: Jews, God’s Evangelical Tool.
Humans
have a / the mission of glorifying God.
Christian Way Of Life application: Life will be
successful as it takes into consideration God’s glory. See 1 Peter 4:11. Living the Christian Way Of Life
will result in great future glory. See Colossians
3:4.
Ultimate
universal spiritual truth: Glory. It is
a happy spiritual thought, that glory can orient me to everything in the
dimensional and spiritual universes.
Understanding Biblical glory is the height of spiritual clarity and
spiritual reality.
The
relationship between glory and freewill:
The final state of God’s plan of glory is to interact eternally with
multitudes of objective faithful sinless volitions. Use your freewill to orient to God’s
sovereign glory.
Glory
is a significant vocabulary word for being encouraged about the eternal state
and eternal reward.
Glory
and God’s imagination: The massive 4du, huge diversity of objects in the 4du[3],
the fine tuning of celestial motion, massive
diversity of plant and animal life, stunning irreducible complexity of micro
biology, angels, etc. The God-man Jesus
Christ is the crown of God’s glorious imagination. (See Colossians 1:15-17 and 2:1-3.)

and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in

fathers, for we have sinned against Thee.
21 Do not despise us,

gate, the gate facing toward the east; 2

glory. 3 And it was like the appearance of the vision
which I saw, like the vision which I saw when He came to destroy the city. And
the visions were like the vision
which I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my
face. 4 And the glory of the
LORD came into the house by the way of the gate facing toward the east. 5 And the Spirit lifted me up and
brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the
house. 6 Then I heard one
speaking to me from the house, while a man was standing beside me. 7 And He said to me, "Son of
man, this is the place of My throne

"Ho there! Flee from the land of the north," declares the LORD,
"for I have dispersed you as the four winds of the heavens," declares
the LORD. 7 "Ho, Zion!

Romans 8:18-21 18 For
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the
creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected
to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in
hope 21 that the creation
itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of
the glory of the children of God. (The glory reward.)

Corinthians 2:7-8 7 but we speak God's wisdom in a
mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God
predestined before the ages to our glory;
8 the wisdom which
none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; (The relationship between
wisdom and glory.)

Corinthians 10:31 31 Whether, then, you eat or drink

2
Corinthians 3:7-11 7 But if the ministry of death, in
letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could
not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading
as it was, 8 how shall the ministry of the
Spirit fail to be even more with glory? 9
For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of
righteousness abound in glory. 10
For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory on account of the glory
that surpasses it. 11 For if that which fades away was with glory, much more that which
remains is in glory. (Ministry of the
Spirit of surpassing glory.)
2
Corinthians 3:18 18 But we all, with unveiled face

Corinthians 4:15-18 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the grace which
is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound
to the glory of God. 16
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our
inner man is being renewed day by day. 17
For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory
far beyond all comparison, 18
while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not
seen are eternal. (The glory reward.)
Ephesians
1:12-18 12 to the end that we who were the
first to hope in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after
listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-- having also
believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our
inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory. 15 For this reason I too, having
heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists
among you, and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for
you, while making mention of you in
my prayers; 17 that the God
of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of
wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you
may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of
His inheritance in the saints, (The glory reward.)

Hebrews
2:9-10 9 But we do see Him who has been
made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory
and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting for Him, for
whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to
glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings. (Mission
Jesus: Glory.)
1 Peter 4:11 11 Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (Glory summary.)

Peter 4:12-14 12 Beloved, do not be surprised at
the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though
some strange thing were happening to you;
13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ,
keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice
with exultation. 14 If you
are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of
glory and of God rests upon you. (The relationship between suffering and
glory.)
1 Peter 5:1 1Therefore,
I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow
elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory
that is to be revealed, 2
shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion,
but voluntarily, according to the will of
God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; 3 nor yet as lording it over those
allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd
appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. (Spiritual gifts and glory
reward.)
1
Peter 5:8-10 8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about
like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9 But resist him, firm in your
faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being
accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. 10 And after you have suffered for
a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in
Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. (The relationship between suffering and glory
reward.)
2
Peter 1:3 3 seeing that His divine power has
granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true
knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
2
Peter 1:16-17 16 For we did not follow cleverly
devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received honor and
glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the
Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased
"-- (The incarnation of the Second
Person of the Triune God of the Bible documented, confirmed, and demonstrated
the glory of God—to other volitional creatures.)

(Contrarians: The Creator is worthy of glory.)
Revelation
5:12-13 12 saying with a loud voice,
"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom
and might and honor and glory and blessing." 13 And every created thing which
is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things
in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and
dominion forever and ever." (Again:
Glory, The Summary.)
Revelation
7:9-12 9 After these things I looked, and
behold, a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and
palm branches were in their
hands; 10 and they cry out
with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb." 11 And
all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on
their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, "Amen, blessing
and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever.
Amen." (Again: Glory, The Summary.)
Revelation
15:8 8 And the temple was filled with
smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter

19:1-2 1
After these things I heard, as it were, a loud voice of a great multitude in
heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our
God; 2 because His judgments
are true and righteous; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting
the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His
bond-servants on her." (Great Tribulation and exhibition / recognition of
God’s glory.)
Revelation
21:23-27 23 And the city has no need of the
sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and
its lamp is the Lamb. 24 And the nations shall walk by
its light, and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it. 25 And in the daytime (for there
shall be no night there) its gates shall never be closed; 26 and they shall bring the glory
and the honor of the nations into it; 27
and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever
come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of
life. (Note glory and the essence of God.)

3:8 8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and
Judah has fallen, Because their speech and their actions are against the LORD,

and doest wondrous deeds; Thou alone art God. (Millennial glory.)

John
12:23-28 23 And Jesus answered them, saying,
"The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 "Truly, truly, I say to
you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by
itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 "He who loves his life
loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life
eternal. 26 "If anyone
serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also be;
if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
27 "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I
say, 'Father, save Me from this hour '? But for this purpose I came to this
hour. 28 "Father,
glorify Thy name." There came therefore a voice out of heaven: "I
have both glorified it, and will glorify it again." (Mission Jesus: demonstrate glory.)

17:1-5 1
These things Jesus spoke; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said,
"Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son, that the Son may glorify
Thee, 2 even as Thou gavest Him authority over all mankind, that to all whom
Thou hast given Him, He may give eternal life.
3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee,
the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. 4 "I glorified Thee on the
earth, having accomplished the work which Thou hast given Me to do. 5 "And now, glorify Thou Me
together with Thyself, Father, with the glory which I had with Thee before the
world was. (Mission Jesus: demonstrate glory.)

what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said

Corinthians 6:18-20 18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside
the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your
body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and
that you are not your own? 20
For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. (Christian
Way of Life Mission: Glory.)
Hebrews
5:5 5 So also Christ did not glorify
Himself so as to become a high priest, but He who said to Him, "Thou art
My Son, Today I have begotten Thee"; (Jesus is a more glorious spiritual high
priest.)

Peter 2:12 12 Keep your behavior excellent

Ezekiel
28:22 22 and say, 'Thus says the Lord
God, "Behold, I am against you, O Sidon, And I shall be glorified in your
midst. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I execute judgments in her,
And I shall manifest My holiness in her.

Daniel
5:23 23 but you have exalted yourself
against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house
before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been
drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of
bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. But the God
in whose hand are your life-breath and your ways, you have not glorified. (Humanities’ goal is to glorify God.)
Matthew
15:30-31 30 And great multitudes came to
Him, bringing with them those who were lame,
crippled, blind, dumb, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet;
and He healed them, 31 so
that the multitude marveled as they saw the dumb speaking, the crippled
restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the
God of Israel. (Mission Jesus: Miracles for glory.)

7:39 39 But this He spoke of the
Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not
yet given, because Jesus was not yet

John
11:4 4 But when Jesus heard it, He

Romans
8:28-31 28 And we know that God causes all
things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called
according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also
predestined to become conformed to
the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; 30 and whom He predestined, these
He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified,
these He also glorified. 31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against
us? (Mission of glory in the four dimensional universe.)

Thessalonians 1:6-12 6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with
affliction those who afflict you, 7
and to give relief to you who are
afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven
with His mighty angels in flaming fire, 8
dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not
obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9
And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence
of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day,
and to be marveled at among all who have believed-- for our testimony to you
was believed. 11 To this end
also we pray for you always that our God may count you worthy of your calling,
and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power; 12 in order that the name of our
Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of
our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (The Second Advent of the Lord Jesus
Christ = the end of God’s position of
weakness in the four dimensional universe.)

Thessalonians 3:1-3 1
Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and
be glorified, just as it did also
with you; 2 and that we may
be delivered from perverse and evil men; for not all have faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and He
will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (The glory of God’s Word.)
[1] Speculation: How does an Omniscient God enjoy interacting with volitional creatures, knowing their
every future action?
Solution: In eternity future, with only objective faithful sinless
volitions, perhaps God veils His deity and enjoys the spontaneous imaginative freewill
interaction with multitudes of volitions?
+Perhaps this will be one of the future functions of the God-man Jesus
Christ, to facilitate enjoyment in God’s
moment by moment interaction? +Perhaps
God’s omniscience does not preclude His ability to enjoy the moment? For example: God’s Counsel in eternity past
suggests a linear aspect to God. As with
any volitional being, the process of thinking is linear—humans live in an
approximate three second window of thought, for example. + Another way to say it is: The God of the
Bible exists in at least 14 different dimensions and one of the dimensions includes four
dimensional linear reality.

1 Corinthians 1:25-29 25 Because the foolishness of God
is wiser than men, and the weakness of God
is stronger than men. 26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28 and the base things of the world and the despised, God has chosen, the things that are not, that He might nullify the things that are, 29 that no man should boast before God.
