Biblical Concept: Children and Bible Teaching
Dear Parents and Sunday
School teachers:

Deuteronomy 6:6 "And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall
be on your heart; 7 and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall
talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when
you lie down and when you rise up.

Ephesians 6:4 And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring
them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my
commandments; 2 For length of days and years of life, And peace they will add
to you. 3 Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 So you will find favor and good
repute In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear
the LORD and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your body, And
refreshment to your bones.
Parents and Sunday School
teachers, it is spiritually imperative that the children in our spiritual care,
place the Bible in their souls. The
indwelling Holy Spirit will utilize these Biblical resources, in the soul of
our children, to their benefit. I
suggest teaching the following sequence of Biblical Concepts to facilitate this
spiritual goal:
Who is the God of the Bible,
How to have eternal life,
Eternal security,
Essence of God,
Grace,
Spiritual empowerment,
Sin filling and fellowship,
Sin,
Doctrine consistently,
The Biblical challenge to
grow through Bible study,
All for Christ,
Get oriented to God and enjoy
life,
Confidence,
Impersonal love,
Divine guidance,
All for Christ,
Angelic rebellion,
Attitude of improvement,
Children’s speech,
Inclusive attitudes,
Loving others is accomplished
by application of Bible Doctrine,
Order of importance in
life,
Positive mental attitude,
Resurrection promises,
Time: waste not,
The world, subject to Angels,
Dispensations,
Seeking glory,
Loving God,
Pleasing God,
Right and Wrong in a nation,
Giving word to God,
God wishes all would believe
