Biblical Concept: The Bible Plan

The Bible Plan is utterly inventive.

The Triune God of the Bible decided to create volitional beings--angels.  Some rebelled and God created other volitional beings--humans to deal with the rebellion.  After various but fairly limited contacts with the humans, a Bible Plan has emerged.  God requires humans to believe the squiggly shapes written on flat surfaces for eternal life and resolution of the angelic rebellion. Only God could have conceived such a plan.

John 1:45 Philip *found Nathanael and *said to him, "We have  found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." (Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the King, the Savior is the center of the Bible Plan.)

Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. (Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the King, the Savior is the center of the Bible Plan.)

John 20:31 but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name. (Human: please believe the words written about Jesus Christ.)

1 Peter 1:23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God. (The Bible Plan has words of power.)

Mark 4:15 "And these are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. (Satan counters the Bible plan.) (Satan has been attacking God’s words from the beginning: Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.")

Romans 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (The Bible Plan has words of power.)

Psalm 138:2   2 I will bow down toward Thy holy temple, And give thanks to Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and Thy truth; For Thou hast magnified Thy word according to all Thy name. (God honors His words.)

2 Samuel 23:1-2 1 Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse declares, And the man who was raised on high declares, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel, 2 "The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word was on my tongue. (God has inspired the writings in the Bible Plan.)

2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.  (God has inspired the writings in the Bible Plan.)

2 Peter 1:20-21 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (God has inspired the writings in the Bible Plan.)

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (The Bible Plan has words of power.)

2 Peter 1:2-5   2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; 3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.  4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.  (The Bible Plan has words of power.)

1 Peter 2:2 like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, (The Bible Plan has words of power.)

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 18 For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the cleverness of the clever I will set aside."  20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?  21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.  22 For indeed Jews ask for signs, and Greeks search for wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.  25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (The Bible Plan has words of power.) (The Bible Plan is foolish, but smarter than you.)

Revelation 22:18-19 18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book;  19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. (God is serious about the Bible Plan.)
